Judson Eagles soar over MUW Owls 69-30

The Judson Eagles hosted the Mississippi University for Women Owls at home Thursday, February 4. The Eagles started the game with high energy, outscoring the Owls 24-5 in the first quarter. Putting four quarters together with high intensity, the Eagles finished the game on top with a final score of 69 (Judson) to 30 (MUW).

Annie Sparks – 22 points
Timoya Brownlee – 12 points
Secora Tate – 12 points
Shelly Bailey – 10 points

Leading Rebounder: Shelly Bailey – 9 rebounds

“What a great team effort tonight,” said Coach Bridget Goodnight after the game. “We set specific goals for this game and each player contributed something to help us accomplish each one.  We are continuing to gain confidence as we play more games and it is allowing us to understand the importance of playing within our system.  With each day, I have so much respect for how these players carry themselves, continue to show up, work hard, and stay committed to the process.”
