Student achievements recognized at Judson College Honors Convocation

Marion, Ala.–Judson College hosted its annual Honors Convocation on April 13, 2021. The ceremony, held in Alumnae Auditorium, afforded an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of students, faculty, and staff over the past year.

Dr. W. Mark Tew, President, referenced Colossians 1:9, saying that wisdom and spiritual understanding are to be developed in every aspect of a Christian student’s life.

“As we acknowledge your accomplishments today,” said Tew, “We do that with the understanding that because of how we seek to go about Christian higher education at Judson, we’re not just teaching you the rudiments of your future profession. We’re helping you to understand them from the perspective of how God is working in those professions. You’re not just doctors, nurses, lawyers, professionals, and educators; you’re Christians doing all of those things to the glory of God, as Paul says here, ‘in a worthy light, fully pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work.’ We’re excited about your good works, and that’s why we’re here today, Tew said.
