Judson College ADN program receives notification of accreditation candidacy

The Judson College Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program received notification this spring of its candidacy for accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

“We are so privileged to be a candidate for accreditation by ACEN”, said Dr. Wanda Hayes, director of Judson’s nursing program.  The Judson College Nursing Department regards this notice as indication of the quality of its Associate Degree in Nursing program, which began offering courses in 2012.

Judson’s ADN program will continue its accreditation process by completing a self-study, with the guidance of an ACEN mentor. Hayes explains, “Based on the results of our self-study and recommendations from our ACEN mentor, we will implement necessary strategies to ensure we are in compliance with all ACEN standards and Criteria.” Full application for accreditation, Hayes states, may be complete in February 2015.
